Hump Day  Camels

Yup, it is Wednesday, and yes that does mean HUMP DAY; however it also means the Detroit Zoo is open til 8PM.  Good time to walk the zoo, take pictures and videos.

Firehouse Subs - Berkley, MI

If you love the Fireman ( and who doesn't?)  Then you will love Firehouse Subs.  I recently tried them and all I can say is, "YUM!"  I had the Turkey Salsa Verde and plan on eating my way through the menu as they all sound so good - next up for me is the New York Steamer.

Aside from their great selection of subs they have a really cool pop machine -Coca Cola Freestyle with over 120 combo beverage choices.

Started by Firemen the shop is decorated with lots of great Fireman related stuff.  Oh, and the kids get a Fire Hat with their meal.

The cashier will ask if you want to donate $1 to First Responders and as a retired First Responder I said yes, and you should too.  Firehouse Subs has grants that they award through their foundation to First Responders:  http://www.firehousesubs.com/Foundation-Overview.aspx
